History :
Young boy complaining of abdominal pain.

What does the radiograph show ?

There is a soft tissue mass in the left upper quadrant.

This is splenomegaly.

What are the possible diagnoses ?

The patient has sickle cell disease.

Other possible diagnoses include leukaemia, lymphoma, metabolic disease, sarcoid, congestive splenomegaly plus other causes.
