Describe the findings seen on the scan

There is low attenuation seen throughout the left cerebral hemisphere in the distribution of the left middle cerebral artery. The middle cerebral appears dense (i.e. white) suggesting it is occluded. There is mass effect with midline shift and distortion and compression of the lateral ventricles.

What is the diagnosis ?

Left middle cerebral artery occlusion with infarction of the area of the left cerebral hemisphere supplied by the left middle cerebral artery.
