A man presents complaining of pain on the left side of his chest.

Answers :

What does the chest radiograph show ?

The left scapula is destroyed by a lytic abnormality such as a metastasis.

What does the lateral skull radiograph show ?

Multiple lucencies are seen in the skull - the appearance is typical of myeloma.

Considering the findings on the chest and skull radiographs what is the most likely diagnosis ?

The scapula deposit is probably a plasmocytoma and the patient has now developed myeloma.
