Answers

What does the film show ?

There are widened, irregular epiphyseal plates and cupping, fraying and widening of the metaphyses. There is mild bowing of the tibiae and fibulae. A peristeal reaction is seen.

What disease casuses this appearance ?

This is the appearance of rickets. It most commonly involves the wrists, ankles and knees.
